Oriana Taylor
Co-Executive Editor
Oriana is a junior majoring in Sociology and Middle East Studies. In addition to Fusayfsa`, she serves as a research assistant for a project on the sociology of higher education. Oriana’s academic interests lie in the Arabic language, social movements, and postcolonial social thought, particularly in the Middle East.

Callie Jacobson
Co-Executive Editor
Callie is a senior double majoring in Government and Philosophy. Academically, she has focused on decolonial philosophy, international relations, and political development in the MENA region. In addition to Fusafysa`, she works at the Five College Women’s Studies Research Center as a research collaborator and serves as the President of the Class of 2026.

Madelyn Halperin
Associate Editor
Madelyn Halperin is a senior majoring in Government and Middle East Studies. She has spent the past two summers abroad completing solidarity work in Palestine and studying Arabic in Amman, Jordan. Madelyn enjoys studying Palestinian history and has focused particularly on understandings of power and religion in MENA.

Jenin Abu-Hashem
Associate Editor
Jenin is a sophomore and an associate editor for Fusayfsa'. She's majoring in sociology and environmental science & policy, and has spent a year and a half learning Arabic at Smith. Being from the Middle East, she joined the Fusayfsa' team as a way to explore the complexities of the MENA region's culture and politics.

Esmé is a sophomore majoring in Government, with a Reproductive Health, Rights & Justice Certificate. She holds an associate editor position at Fusayfsa’. She has focused on issues of democracy and migration in the MENA region, and around the globe.

Kylee is a sophomore majoring in Government and minoring in Education. She is a content creator at Fusayfsa'. She joined the Fusayfsa' team to learn more about the MENA region, and collaborate with others interested in the events of the region.

Amelie is a Sophomore History major and Architecture student. Amelie joined the design team for a combined love of all things artistic, and an appreciation for the unsung culture and history of the Middle East.
